What we are about

We are a research led business focused on revolutionising the industry approach to IT hardware managment in Data Centres. As experts in our field, our aim is to help enterprises of all sizes deliver maximum performance with the lowest possible impact on the environment and best impact on the bottom line.

Pioneering Research

We published a groundbreaking peer reviewed paper in the IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing in 2020, where we scientifically demonstrated the effects of the slow down in Moore's Law on server architechture.

The following year the Interact methodology and use cases were published in Elsevier Journal of Sustainable Computing: Informatics and Systems.

Thought Leadership

We are experts in the related fields of development and research, business and the circular economy. We have presented our background research extensively, highlighting its importance to the sector at key industry events including Data Centre World Frankfurt, Data Centre Dynamics - Net Zero, Spiceworks, ADISA and Data Centre World London.

Interact’s support of the SDGs

Interact announced its support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in June 2022 with targets set against the two that most resonated with our leadership team.

A commitment towards Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production was the driver for the development of an energy efficiency measurement tool, which would allow carbon savings at use phase for all equipment including refurbished hardware.

Goal 5 – Gender Equality is an issue picked up by many organisations in the technology sector. The Interact team has always been either a 50-50 split of men and women or skewed towards the female side. We like the balance of perspectives and approaches it brings.
